know what is tanbo
tanbo art from Japan
Tanbo Art is art ' painting ' on canvas, namely a giant plot of paddy field. This artwork first appeared in 1993 in the village of Inakadate, 600 miles from Tokyo (entered in Aomori Prefecture in the Tōhoku region, Japan).

In that year, residents of Inakadate was looking for a way to revitalize their village. The archaeological explorations led to the realization that rice has been grown in the area for more than 2000 years.

In honor of this history, they begin to create works of art and innovation fields chosen as the medium. In order to obtain a rich color, farmers use four types of Inakadate rice variants.

The process of creation of Tanbo Art fair complex and full precision. The design drawings were made beginning with the help of the computer before applied on top of the "green giant canvas".

Every April, the villagers meet and decide what will be planted during the current year. For example, in 2007 alone there were 700 farmers who help in one project Tanbo Art. According to Wiki, the painting of Mount Iwaki as simple being the first painting was made, and worked for nine years.

Now, Tanbo Art has spread to various parts of Japan and arguably is one of the tourist objects that should be taken into account. Interestingly, unlike crop circle phenomena are reaping sensation about the arrival of aliens (although it turned out to be just a mere piece of art), Tanbo Art pure works of art that are rooted in psychology. This also proves that the peasantry also have high artistic taste.
